A Bike Cave?

So my bike has been relegated from the warm, dry and lovely confines of the hallway to the great outdoors of my garden. Weirdly and absurdly, I worry about my bike alot, especially since it is new and so storing it can be a concern.

It was quite funny to see that my uncle has also experienced the same thing as being a new cyclist, he wanted to store his in the house. Luckily for him, he managed to persuade my aunt that storing it indoors is a good option. I don’t think I will ever have the same luck with my parents and so I installed the bike tent that I had bought.

On first thoughts, the idea of a bike tent seems quite absurd right? However, it is actually quite a good idea as it can be annoying to have to sweep webs and spiders off your bike everytime you want to use it. This happens even when you have an ordinary cover on it as the creepy crawlies come crawling underneath.

There are two cons to this bike tent though. The first is that quick trips on my bike will now be less frequent since I will rather walk than go through the hassle of lugging the bike from the back garden, through the kitchen and out the door. Whilst also ensuring the doors and precious walls remain scratch free. The second is that there will always be insects to battle! I woke up this morning to see a spider had decided to set up its home just in front of the tent, as if it was guarding it from other insects. I appreciate your concern spidey but to be honest, I don’t really like you either. Sorry.
